Legendary hotel with more than 100 years of history to begin an exciting new chapter with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts



DALIAN, China (January 20, 2023) -- Accor is pleased to partner with Dalian Culture & Tourism Group to create Fairmont Dalian, a grand hospitality experience at Zhongshan Square in Dalian, Liaoning province, Northeastern China. The elegant four-storey heritage building features European Renaissance Baroque Architecture and is designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit. The hotel has stood for more than a century at a privileged spot in the main district of Dalian. Now, with the great support of the Dalian municipal government, Fairmont will oversee an eco-sensitive restoration and careful preservation process, bringing the property up to global standards of modern luxury hospitality. Following these upgrades and refurbishments, the 70-room luxury hotel, Fairmont Dalian, is planning to receive guests in October 2023.

This century-old iconic hotel has served as the grand dame of Dalian’s hospitality scene and bears an illustrious past, hosting generations of royalty, celebrities, government leaders, and dignitaries. With National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit designation, the historic property has witnessed countless changes and culturally significant moments throughout the city’s evolution. Precious objects of the hotel’s past, important cultural relics, and photographs of Dalian’s historical and cultural memories will be beautifully and artistically displayed within the new hotel.

The new Fairmont Dalian will welcome leisure guests as well as business travelers, with a Fairmont Gold Lounge, a stunning ballroom for weddings and private events, numerous meeting rooms, and signature restaurants. Wellness facilities will include a swimming pool and a fitness center. The location is just 30 minutes from Dalian Airport and the North Station; and 20 minutes from several scenic areas, such as Xinghai Square, Laohutan Scenic Park and Bangchui Island, and Dalian West Forest Park.
